1. Where can art glass be placed?
Art glass is very flexible and can be placed almost anywhere in your home. We make windows for exterior installation into houses and door frames, glass for internal uses such as cabinet doors or space dividers, hanging art pieces that are ideal for brightly-lit areas. Glass is very versatile and can brighten any room. It can be designed to fit any shape or size opening.

2. What about a design?
We create unique designs in-house for each client. You take part in the design process. It is not necessary for you to have an idea or theme in mind when you visit us, we can help you find your style. If you do have an idea in mind, it can speed-up the design process.

3. How do you put the colour in the glass?
The colour of glass is determined by its chemical composition. The glass we work with is ordered in a particular colour and texture. See the Science of Glass page for more information.

4. Is there a minimum order quantity?
No. Here at Leaded Lights Stained Glass we cater to our client's needs. No order is too small or too large.

5. How long does it take?
The length of time needed to produce an item depends on many variables, and is discussed during the client's initial consultation. Each item is hand made in the studio. The intricacy of the design, availability of materials, and the order volume are key factors affecting production time. Leaded Lights Stained Glass will work within your building contractor's time line to insure that your project is completed on schedule. Generally allow for between four to eight weeks for completion. Please contact us for more information regarding your particular project.

6. How much does it cost?
The cost of a project varies based on the type of materials used and its complexity. The price is based on the final approved project drawing. Base prices start from about $150.00 to $200.00 per square foot, with painted, figurative, or interdisciplinary techniques increasing the value appropriately. 7. What about the installation?
Leaded Lights leaves the installation to the professional. If you are currently doing renovations on your home, we will work with the contractor of your choice.

8. What about glass?
Leaded Lights Stained Glass will supply all of the materials needed to fabricate your project. We deal with a number of glass manufacturers. Each features unique characteristics to suit your individual requirements.

9. What quality am I getting?
When you work with Leaded Lights Stained Glass, you get top quality products. Our staff is highly qualified, and our materials are first rate. Our designers have studied extensively under many studios and artists in order to employ the best stained glass techniques. Leaded Lights employs traditional construction techniques to ensure the product will last a lifetime.

10. Do you repair windows?
Yes. Quality repair work can only be done if the window is removed from its opening. We do not work on site.

11. Do you produce batches?
No, each window is designed with an individual client in mind, we do not mass produce our product.

12. What is your billing process?
A 50% deposit, on final design approval initiates the project. The balance is due on receipt of the finished product.

13. Do stained glass products require special maintenance?
No. Stained glass windows constructed in traditional style, should last in excess of 50 years with little attention. The art of stained glass production has been around for centuries, and is very reliable.
